At Holy City Babies, we value family & try really hard to prioritize having a Healthy Work / Life Balance. We believe that it directly affects our attitude, energy, creativity and ultimately our success.
As such, we can only accept a maximum of 5 Expectant Parents & 5 Newborn Babies for Portrait Sessions each month (in addition to the other types of portrait sessions we offer at the studio .)

How far in advance should we book our session?
Maternity Portrait Sessions with Holy City Babies can be shot in in our Charleston Portrait Studio for Fine Art, Editorial Style Maternity Portraits.
OR
If an Outdoor, On-Location Charleston Maternity Portrait Session is what you're after, we can do that too!
The possibilities are truly limitless!
Newborn Portrait Sessions are typically shot in our Charleston Newborn Photography Studio.
If you would like a more Lifestyle, In-Home Newborn Portrait Session, I am also happy to shoot in the comfort of your home!
Where do we shoot?
Maternity Portrait Sessions:
Studio Maternity Portrait Sessions typically begin weekdays at 9am for hair and makeup!
If you're shooting an outdoor session
The softest, most flattering light of the day happens in the 90 minutes after sunrise or the 90 minutes before sunset. I prefer to shoot during that last Golden Hour of the day as that light is soft and dreamy for your outdoor portrait session!
In this case, you would sit for hair & makeup an 2hrs before your scheduled shoot time.
Newborn Portrait Sessions
(+ Milestone & Cake Smash Sessions)
Portrait Sessions are photographed in our Studio weekdays between 9am - 2pm.
What time of day do we shoot?
Yes, of course!
You are more than welcome to include your partner and/or older siblings in your Maternity Portrait Session!
Newborn Portrait Sessions definitely include parents, siblings and family portraits with your new baby! If the grandparents are in town, you are welcome to invite them along so that they an get a few portraits with their new grandbaby!
What about the whole family?

As a Holy City Babies client, you'll have exclusive access to our Client Closet for your Maternity and Newborn Portrait Sessions. During your pre-session phone consultation, we'll discuss wardrobe. If you would like to wear something from the client closet, I am happy to help you to coordinate wardrobe for your family!
If you would like to wear something of your own, I suggest dressing in a way that feels comfortable and authentic for you and am happy to help you plan wardrobe for your session/s!
What should we wear?
Your private, password protected online proof gallery will be delivered within 7 days of your portrait session (often sooner). Once your gallery has been delivered, you will then have 7 days with your proof gallery to use your $800 Credit to order either an Heirloom Print Collection or from the A La Carte Product List.
How long does it take to get proofs back?
Due to high demand and limited availability, Session Fees are non-refundable for any reason.
In the event of illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will simply re-schedule for the very next available date / time that works for both of us!
If possible, we will shoot before or after any inclement weather.
In the event that a re-schedule is not immediately possible for you, I will issue a gift certificate in the entire amount received at the time of booking to be used at a later date, without expiration.
