A third generation photographer, I grew up in a home with beautiful, old black & white portraits lining our walls & filling our drawers. I think I've always loved faces, relationships & artistic storytelling because of it. After graduate school, I moved home, opened my portrait company and never looked back! I can only accept a maximum of 5 babies for Milestone Portraits each month (in addition to the other types of sessions I shoot at the studio.) Because of this, my availability is limited and I would encourage you to book your Milestone Photoshoots as soon as possible after your baby is born. Most parents book Milestone Portraits in intervals of 3 months after your baby's Newborn Session (typically for 3 months, 6 months, 9 month to document their growth and development. Its important to schedule as soon as possible to ensure my availability for your baby!
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU?
Good news! I have a client closet for sitters filled with timeless, precious little rompers! There are a range of sizes from 3-6 months to 12-18 months!
If you want to choose something of your own, for your baby to wear for the session you are certainly welcome to do that!
I always recommend soft, muted colors -- timeless choices for these heirloom, milestone images!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Milestone Portrait Sessions are shot in my Charleston Photography Studio located at 1020 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407.
The studio is beautiful, comfortable and well appointed for your Milestone Portrait Session.
whERE DO We SHOOT?
The best time for Milestone Portraits is anytime! But, most parents schedule them in 3 month intervals during the first year (because they change so quickly during that first year!) and 6 month intervals each year after that!
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY
NEWBORN SESSION?
Most Milestone Portrait Sessions happen in my studio but if you would like to shoot outdoors, on location in Charleston, I am happy to do that, we would just be booking a regular portrait session (please inquire for details about that!) My service area includes all of Charleston County. If you would like me to travel outside of Charleston County, my travel fee is $2 per mile, round trip.
do you travel?
Your Milestone Portrait Session Proofs will be delivered within 7 days of your portrait session via a private, password protected online proof gallery.
Once your gallery has been delivered, you will then have 7 days with your proof gallery to choose either an Heirloom Print Collection or to order from the A La Carte Product List.
There is a minimum $800 Artwork Purchase Requirement for your Gallery Prints, Wall Art, Albums and Digital Files.
HOW LONG TO GET PROOFS?
All that is required to reserve your Milestone Portrait Session date on my shoot calendar is a $99 Sitting Fee and a Signed Portrait Contract!
